Poland has triggered Article 4 of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, NATO, after the country reported 19 “breaches” of its airspace by Russian drones on Wednesday.
Kremlin propagandists have disparaged NATO members' reaction to Europe's condemnation of Moscow after Russian drones breached the territory of Poland. Poland has invoked NATO's Article 4 for deliberations over what to do next after it said 19 drones entered its airspace, and up to four were shot down.
President Trump offered his first reaction to Russia's drone incursion on Poland, which the country's military and European leaders condemned as "unprecedented."
This situation brings us the closest we have been to open conflict since World War II," Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said.
Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine has the capacity to produce 8 million drones a year, but lacks the funding to do so.
